家附近有个老人每天晚上都会在路口摆一个小摊。一个水盆，里面放上一个上了发条会游泳的鸭子，别无其他。他只是坐在那里，看行人匆匆走过，也不叫卖。有时候他会抽上一根烟，或是发呆，或是在鸭子不动的时候弯下身来给他上一下发条。偶有小孩经过，他会用期盼的眼神看上一会但不久又像一面湖水一样回到自己的平静。
我常常会想，这样的经营可否对他的生活有所帮助，还是只是需要找些事情来做。
